The 'Selfcontract for the Kurdish Language' is a project of which all organizations, (student) associations and unions that carry sympathy for the Kurdish language and wish it a prosperous future can make use.
The contract has a somewhat conscious character as it is an agreement between the person signing and its conscience.
You may download the Soranî Kurmancî and Zazakî versions through these links.(In order to download the contract it may very well be that it will not suffice that you simply click on it. Click on the right button of your mouse and select ‘Save Target As’/’Doel Opslaan Als’/’Farkli Kaydet’ and there shouldn’t be a problem):

In short, the contents of the contract are as followed:
You declare:
* first, that you "love all languages"
* then, that you "respect all colours and voices of the world"
* but also, that "every human being is beautiful with its own colour and voice"
* "yes, the knowledge of every language I speak enriches me with a new colour and voice"
* "however, to forget and to lose the mother tongue destroys my original personality, my identity and my belongings en makes my natural colour and voice dissapear..."
By signing the contract you promise to whoever reads the contract that you will learn your own language in the best possible way and that you will practise it too. Also by signing, you will have made the promise to speak Kurdish with another person as much as you can. In addition, you make the promise that you will see to it that your children will also get to learn the language -besides ofcourse, maybe other languages-. Finally, it is promised that the language will be protected by the person signing the contract.
The contract enters into force as soon as it is signed, framed and hung to a wall in a (working) room that's accessible freely.
